The heat keeps rising as preparations for the Area Council election all over the FCT are in top gear.

Aspirants are posting various types of bills at every strategic corner, hoping the electorate will find them interesting enough to give them their votes. This is also the case in Kubwa, where there is a mix of those who want to run the affairs of Kubwa and those who aspire to occupy the Area Council office in Bwari as Chairman. It would take some interest for one to distinguish which is which, and that interest is encouraged.

In Kubwa, there are three(3) electoral wards, namely:

(1) Byazhin Ward, which comprises areas like Chikakore, Ijayapi, Kugaboku, Arab Road, and Ija Bisa.

(2) Kubwa (Main) Ward, which covers Kubwa Village, Kukwaba, Gbazango and others.
