Golden jubilees are a very special milestone in everyone’s life. So it was for Mrs Grace Bature.
Friday, 27th of March, was the day Mrs Bature turned 50 years! Celebrations and felicitations began early on the day as her family, friends and community began to celebrate her with visitation, prayers, and best wishes, in an expression of solidarity and gratitude for the impact she has had on them.
On Sunday, the 29th, the grateful Grace attended church for thanksgiving in Family Worship Centre, Kubwa 2 branch, where she and her family expressed gratitude to God for keeping her in good health over the decades.
Special greetings, best wishes, and prayers were offered for her by members of the congregation and the church’s Worship Team, where she serves as assistant.
The leader of her women’s group penned the following message in her honour:
We pause to celebrate a worshipper, a leader who is kindhearted and a great team player. Happy 50th Birthday, fine girl Sister Grace Bature. Thank you for your service in Abba’s house. Thank you for being a good person in your ministry and beyond. May this season be a time of reward and turnaround for you. Welcome to the floor where everything is golden. Welcome to your best decade yet! We love and appreciate you!

After the service, she welcomed friends and family to her residence, where they were feted in the most exciting and relaxing atmosphere. Guests showed up in large numbers, which was a reflection of her worth to all present.
Her husband, Captain Yerima Bature, speaking with insidekubwa.com, was full of praise and appreciation for how dogged his wife has been over the years in their union, praying for more strength and wisdom for her. In his words: I would like to wish her a wonderful year ahead. 50 is just the beginning, and I believe God will double her portion and she will be hundred and much more. I wish her long life, prosperity–in good health, in wisdom and in strength”.
Continuing in a more determined tone, he added: “I wish that God will continue to uplift her and keep her for us; that no evil will come close to her. I wish that she would continue to be godly and to be that which God has created her to be. She will be the best version of herself, and I know God will take her to that stage in Jesus name.
Recalling some of the significant attributes of his dear wife, Capt. Bature goes on with excitement. “Yeah, I celebrate her doggedness, I celebrate her resilience. She is one that when she looks up to doing something, she holds to it; she doesn’t look back; she puts her whole strength and will. I just want to recall that and say that I will continue to appreciate her for that.
Not forgetting her motherly role, the grateful husband declared, “Equally, I want to appreciate her for the love she has been showing us as a family” He noted that love, it is said, is the greatest, and he prayed, “that love, I pray that it will continue in our home”.
The celebration was a worthy one for a woman who, in many ways, is appreciated as a tremendous blessing to her family, friends and community.
