AEDC:FAULT IN KUBWA POWERLINE

Published

on

For over 24 hours, residents in a large part of Kubwa have been without electric power supply.

This has caused added distress to homes and businesses as it yet again digs into and distorts financial plans.

Many residents have wondered what the cause could be without getting answers. The AEDC also did not provide any official communication before the power outage in the early hours of Monday.

However, in a bit to get some understanding of the situation, we have been monitoring the AEDC social media pages to see if this is addressed. What did we find?

Deborah, an electricity user on Talent Street (off Arab Road), complained:

How do we own our Monday without light? Here in Talent street Kubwa we’re just a casualty of bad electrical power management in Nigeria. The worst part is, you all don’t even give us heads-up anymore. Like you don’t even care!

This was in response to AEDC post attempting to inspire people to own their Monday.

Kemmygold of 2-1 simply asked for power to be restored back to their area to with AEDC replied

Dear Customer, We want to reassure you that we are actively taking steps to restore power to your area. We deeply regret any inconvenience this outage has caused and kindly request your patience as we diligently work to bring back the power supply to your location. ^Charis

The AEDC rep went on to add:

Dear customer, please be informed that it is not a deliberate act to do a disservice to you. It has been confirmed that there is a fault on the power line, which is still being addressed, hence the prolonged power outage. The power supply will be restored when all is safely done. We appeal for your patience. ^Charis

The frustration has been growing with no assurances of when a stable, predictable power supply can be achieved.

Hopefully there will be respite after this round of power outage.
