BWARI AREA COUNCIL ELECTION SERIES: HON. SOLOMON DANJUMA GARDA

Honourable Solomon Danjuma Garda plans to run an inclusive government in Bwari Area Council, bringing in passion for education, access to healthcare and human capital development, especially for young people.

Honourable Solomon Danjuma Garda, popularly known as MC Dariya is the flagbearer for Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) in the forthcoming Bwari Area Council election, aiming to take the seat of Chairman in the Area Council.

Hon. Garda had his early education in Suleja, Niger State, and went further to study Tourism and Community Development at Bida Polytechnic, Niger State.

On his career growth path, and mirroring his background in community development, Garda has worked as a Radio Anchor on a community-enhancing programme which endeared him to the hearts of people in Bwari Area Council at Jordan FM 93.9.

He has been the CEO of Ataza Media, and the founder of Dariya Foundation, through which he has carried out humanitarian outreaches to the vulnerable in society. Also, through the foundation, it is reported that he has given scholarships to over 100 students who are now studying Community Health Technology at schools of nursing. This reflects his passion for quality healthcare for members of his community and society at large. Furthering this burning passion for education, he single-handedly provided over 200 desks and chairs to the primary school in his community, Ushafa, to make learning easy for the pupils who before then sat on the ground while learning.

In the 2023 general election, Hon. Solomon Garda served as the Presidential Campaign Director General (DG) and Coordinator for His Excellency Mr Peter Obi in the entire Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Hon. Garda’s popularity was first noticed when he won the primary election for the office of Chairman in Labour Party conducted under Mr Julius Abure’s leadership, which the courts declined to recognise.

Solomon Danjuma Garda has been described as a detribalised leader who intends to run an all-inclusive government when elected as the chairman of Bwari Area Council, where he is set to further express his commitment to education, primary healthcare and lifting youths out of poverty.

In demonstrating his love for the outdoors, Hon. Solomon Danjuma Garda introduced the Ushafa hiking sport geared towards bringing the youths together, and taking the opportunity to motivate them towards a better future for themselves and their families.
